"The Law, Policy, and Governance competency area​​ includes the knowledge, skills, and dispositions relating to policy development processes used in various contexts, the application of legal constructs, compliance/policy issues, and the understanding of governance structures and their impact on one's professional practice" (ACPA & NASPA, 2015, p. 22).

"Explain the differences between public, private, and for-profit higher education with respect to the legal system and what they may mean for respective students, faculty, and student affairs professionals" (p. 22). ​​

I have gained the following experience in relation to Law, Policy, and Governance:

Completion of HIED 7210: The Law and Higher Education elective course.

Performed research and created a presentation, Faculty Unionization: Collective Bargaining Practices in United States Higher Education.

Acted as a hearing officer in the Office of the Dean of Students at Bowling Green State University.
